hi, i’m shelby! i’ve been a part of the online poetry community for more than 7 years and have amassed an audience of more than 500,000 readers.
i’m a published author of three poetry books, including the bestselling changing with the tides and girl made of glass. i write about self-love, mental health, relationships, and more.
the poetry club was launched because i felt like something was missing:
an accessible, affordable way to learn, write, and meet other poets. and get support in publishing and marketing from a poet who has done it!

why should i become a member?
we're a community of poets (of all experience levels) here to support each other, learn, and grow in our craft. if you've never written a poem before, or you've written 1000 poems, you'll be inspired to write and learn through our monthly workshops, prompts, and challenges. plus, you'll join a private community to gain support and ask questions.
when you sign up, you'll get instant access to a library of resources to help you write and publish, prompts to keep you inspired, and over 10 workshop replays hosted by award-winning and bestselling poets.
what is your cancellation and refund policy?
you can cancel your membership any time! to cancel your membership, please send us an email letting us know your name, email associated with your account, and that you would like to cancel. we'll cancel your membership and you lose access to the membership site and private community group at the end of your billing cycle. please note refunds are not available for monthly members as you immediately get access to all our incredible materials!
for annual memberships, you will be prorated a refund based on how many months you’ve already been a member. (for example, if you join in january and cancel in october, you will be refunded for 2 of the 12 months you paid for.) you will immediately lose access to the membership site upon canceling and can expect a refund to be processed within one week. please follow the steps above to cancel your membership.
what if i can’t attend the workshops?
upon joining, you’ll be asked to take a new member survey to learn about the timezone you’re located in, and the best times for you to attend a workshop.
all workshops are recorded so you will have access, even if you miss a live session!

yes! we bring in guest hosts for workshops each month, and welcome applicants. please send us an email with the following information.
